  2. I loved how you added in the clips from the actors. It was such a neat touch. I know you said it was a big hit in Australia, was it a hit anywhere else in the world?

    1. Yeah! The show came to Broadway, and that is how Lizzy Gardiner and Tim Chappel won their Tony Award, and it premiered in theatres throughout the world!

  3. I liked how you had a lot of different songs in your video, and the interviews with the actors were very helpful in telling your story as well. Was this musical ever brought to the United States? Also, when did this musical first open?

  4. I did not know that those songs were LGBT anthems. "I Will Survive" and "Its Raining Men" How are they LGBT anthems? Do you think that the movie would get the same acceptance in the United States as in Australia? I think the musical was a way to say that being LGBT was okay now.

    1. Yeah, I totally agree with you. In Australia the LGBT movement was a little differemt, but it was becoming widely accepted when the film first premiered. "I Will Survive" was a empowerment piece for the LGBT movement because it means "lets stand strong." "It's Raining Men" is a more playful anthem for the LGBT movement. The "west" in "Go West" is San Fransisco, which was seen as a good place to go if you were lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered at that time period.

  5. I love the use of audio in this video. From the LGBT anthems to the actors' comments, it was very well thought through and definitely added to the video. I liked the focus on the message with the actors and the overall presentation of the performance through the rest of the video. Was the movie or the Broadway show more impactful for the LGBT community?
